Liberal Democrats stand up for local Post Offices

9.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Fri 8th Apr 2005

Local people will be pleased to hear that the Liberal Democrats have received confirmation that the well used Sedbury Post Office will not be closed during the forthcoming cull of Post Offices.

Liberal Democrat candidate for the County Council elections in the Tidenham Division has been campaigning to keep Post Offices open.

He is hoping that the Post Office in Tutshill can be relocated when the current Post Office building is sold.

"The Liberal Democrats are strongly opposed to Post Office closures in our area," says Lance. "They provide an important community facility for local people. I am committed to standing up for our Post Offices."
